2023 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Amantea Block’Dry Creek Valley
A deep garnet-purple hue gives way to aromas of ripe Santa Rosa plum and roasting herbs. Notes of Bing cherry and blackberry create a supple yet sophisticated flavor profile. Polished acidity leads to luxurious, lasting tannins, raising the question of what’s to come from this vintage.
Situated at the top of the Guido Family Vineyard, our ‘Amantea Block’ is exposed to the intense afternoon sun, producing concentrated small clusters of berries and lower yields of grapes. Amantea, the birthplace of my grandpa, Ralph Guido, is a small town in the province of Calabria, Italy, with a unique charm that, like this block, withstands the test of time.
Aged for 19 months in new and neutral French oak, this is for anyone who enjoys Sunday traditions - family, pasta, wine, and a sense of belonging. We hope you find the comfort of home in this bottle.
