2023 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Cataldi Block’Dry Creek Valley
Gentle garnet in appearance, leads to aromas of prunes, herbs de Provence, and a hint of lemongrass. On the palate, black currant and raspberry are accompanied by notes of chocolate shavings and leather. A smooth yet bold mid-palate tannin is complemented by gentle acidity, creating a fresh yet complex feel.
The ‘Cataldi Block’ enjoys cooler temperatures throughout the day down by the creek. Aged for 19 months in new and neutral French oak.
This block is named after Ashley’s maternal grandmother, Anna ‘Nana’ Cataldi, and her three great-uncles, Angelo, Ottavio, and Domenico, all WWII veterans, and proud Italian-Americans. This wine is for anyone who loves Cabernet and cherishes time around the table with family and friends, just as the Cataldis do.
