2024 Estate Zinfandel ‘Ralph‘s Block’Dry Creek Valley
A bright crimson appearance creates a beautiful, glowing first impression. Lovely aromas of Bing cherry and dried sage fill out the nose. Notes of white pepper, ripe red plum, and a hint of baking spice, predominantly nutmeg, create a spritely complex flavor profile. Primed acid and persistent tannin on the palate create a harmonious, warm balance that is punctual but not overwhelming.
Farmed regenerative organically, ‘Ralph’s Block’ was aged in neutral and new French oak for 15 months. The block is named after the patriarch of our family. The rootstock and clone are unknown, much like my grandfather's trials and tribulations during his American immigration experience.
