Mazzetti Block

Afternoon Shade. Scattered Granite.

The Mazzetti block runs from southwest to northeast along the western edge of Talon Creek and up a gentle hill to the northwest. The sun warms this block early in the morning, continues until late afternoon, and then cools swiftly. A mixture of both sun and shade creates the ultimate balance in the berries. Rich in iron and medium-sized granite rocks, this clay-based soil is the most diverse at the Guido Family Vineyard. This vineyard is named in honor of the Mazzetti Family, who also immigrated to America in 1905.
