Ralph’s Block
Morning Sun. Gentle Slope.
This gently sloping hillside from west to east toward Talon Creek allows for exceptional morning sun exposure and afternoon shade. As a result, the berries maintain high acidity while gradually building sugar. The clay loam soil contains scattered granite that allows the vines to grow robustly. The block is named after Ralph Guido, patriarch of the Guido Family, who immigrated to America in the 1930s.
